All our musings over the past two weeks have a central theme; change, transition, being open to letting go of deeply held mistruths. And since all magic things come in three’s, this week’s focus is no exception.
Along with the Virgo moon, not quite full and Chiron opposing, and the Autumn Equinox this week reminding us of the shift in balance between dark and light, night and day, so we shifted earlier this month into Mercury retrograde. This cheeky influence was almost masked by other events, however is more than worth respecting for its influence and the opportunity that always presents itself in an event designed to pull the tablecloth from beneath the family silver. This is an influence to note from September 17th through to October 9th.
Mercury is a dominant influence in communications, including our own innate communication skills – listening, speaking, body language, plus the extended communication environment – the phones, PCs, tablets we use, and the platforms we use to communicate day to day life events, negotiating, selling, and buying. With Mercury in retrograde any of these areas needs special attention, to ensure everything keeps on track. This would be a good time to back up data, take extra care over how we communicate our needs to others and how we interpret other needs. Communication breakdowns bring with them stress anxiety, and delays and a special sense of caution around this time.
However, there is a flip side; now is a time to acknowledge the potential chaos by taking time out to get grounded, face up to challenges of disorder and take the time to look inside, use this energy to clear up projects that are almost done, but not to start new projects. Acknowledge the increased noise, love the detail that’s demanded from you, and work harder to find your truth, to see above what is, to see beyond form and strive for clarity.
This week’s class – grounding and detox, making space to manage chaos
