Previously we looked at how one pathway of the Chakras talks to the grounding of ideas and thoughts and building them out into tangible things …. just as the path to reality downwards through the Chakras tracks the development of ideas through concept, and to generation of form, so the opposite, upwards path of the Chakras looks at the transition of form to abstract. This opposite pathway is equally as relevant as the downwards path. This is the path to liberation, from the reality of form to the concept of abstract, to that feeling of breaking free, that big breath, that sense of release that is a delight and joy to experience.
We play with this in many ways, and at its most intense it is that feeling of being completely at one with our world, that sense of resonating with the moment.
Some years ago, my coaching tutor asked me to recall those times when I felt truly in the moment, totally enjoying life; and in that moment I found it really difficult to bring forward truly joyful memories. At that point life felt heavy, and pretty dull, and the sense of being belong blocked was resonant of being out of alignment. More of an eye opener was that other students could recall such instances in a moment – definitely time to look at what was making having fun such a challenge.
So in very simple ways we can see how the framework of the Chakras work together to support the upwards and downwards paths, how we are impacted by those chakras that under-perform, or over-perform, and how at times if we’re not aware of this it can be difficult for us to break through and recognise our own realties. Blockages in the upwards path make life feel like a drag, like there’s nothing new, like everything is stuck.
